Movie Review: Flatliners (2017)

** ¬†WARNING: I’m not a formal reviewer. I only like to watch movies, a lot. My opinion is just that, my opinion. I may also spoil things. What you think is a spoiler could be different to what I think is a spoiler. I take no blame ūüėČ ¬†**

When it came to watching Flatliners, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I had seen half of a trailer a few months ago so I was going into this with an open mind. With a well-known cast including Ellen Page, Diego Luna, Nina Dobrev and Kiefer Sutherland, my expectations grew just a little.

The main plot follows 5 medical students who essentially stop each others hearts for a short period of time so they can discover what happens in the after life and beyond. Once they discover the positive effects that flatlining has, including remembering all knowledge they have learned or feeling like they are on a high.

However, they soon discover it’s not all sunshine and rainbows when sins they have all committed come back to haunt them, and more. As a viewer, there was a very distinct moment in the movie from where it was a movie about knowing the afterlife, to fighting off their sins in a Final Destination style format.

Top 5 Reasons I’m Looking Forward for WWE 2K18

The days are numbered until the release of WWE 2K18, with those who pre-ordered any of the special editions to be able to play it this week. For me, I love the WWE games and one day want to work on them, but until that ever happens, I’m always down to play them. WWE 2K18 is no different and these are the top 5 reasons I’m looking forward to playing WWE 2K18.

1. Graphics

A new lighting engine and more life-like models together combine some of the best graphics seen in a WWE game ever. While not perfect, it’s a huge improvement from previous years a I can’t wait to see how this looks on my 4K TV while playing.

60. Spend my 21st in Vegas

Completed: April 29th, 2017

Everyone turns 21. But how many people spend their 21st in Las Vegas? Well, this is exactly what I wanted to do, so bad in fact, I added it to this list! Now, I’m not a big drinker, and I don’t¬†really¬†like to party. So Vegas was an off choice when you look at it.

Though, keep in mind that this list was made a few years ago AND there is more to Vegas than just partying, right? Overall, I had a blast. Sure I didn’t drink ’till I threw up, but I gambled some money away, ate too many burgers AND I did go to a pool party (even if I left early…)

My News for 17th July: New Doctor, Star Wars Land Details & Kingdom Hearts 3!

Welcome to ‘My News’. This will be a not-so-daily, daily news article where I share the top 3 pop culture news articles of the day.

1. We Have a New Doctor!

Lucky Doctor 13 has been revealed throwing all Whovians into a meltdown! For the first time in the history of Doctor Who, there is a female doctor. Stirring things up will be Jodie Whittaker who will be the 13th doctor in the new season of Doctor Who.

The news obviously shocked a lot of people with a lot of negative feedback through Social Media shared. Personally, as someone who doesn’t watch Doctor Who, the idea sounds fresh. It’s something that I think needed to happen eventually. Somewhat like an Female Australian Prime Minister, lets just hope it goes better than the Julia Gillard reign…
