iPhone X Diary #2: The Rains are ‘ere

In only a few short hours I have to try and get a good nights rest before the most exciting day for any Apple fan, iPhone X day. I am as prepared as I can ever be. Thanks to iiCase, I have been given 6 iPhone X cases as well as a glass screen protector. I have carefully checked traffic conditions and roadworks to know exactly when to leave my house to be sure I’ll be at the Apple Store as close to 8am as possible.

It’s not going to be an easy task for a number of reasons, but I’m doing this all for a damn phone. My first hurdle will actually be getting to sleep. With excitement running through my body actually getting to sleep will be a challenge and a half. Then I need to actually wake up in time, oh lord this is not going to be easy. I’m giving myself 30 minutes to get up, get changed and get racing over to the Apple store before opening. From my research I should be arriving at 7:50am to wait a simple 10 minutes for my phone.

Assuming everything goes to plan, I’ll have my phone in hand and will have to head straight to work, but not before an unboxing. Once I arrive at work, I’ll be doing an in-car unboxing for the iPhone X and then head into work. I plan on throwing together the unboxing with my Macbook Pro as I work and have it uploaded by midday. I am praying for everything to go as planned, but hey, who knows what will actually happen. My next entry will be after I have the phone in hand. Until then, stay fresh.

iPhone X Diary #1: The Calm Before the Storm

I did it. I researched and prayed for a Day 1 iPhone X and I did it. The process wasn’t easy, but this may give those who are looking for their next purchase to be successful more of a chance. With the iPhone X pre-order date coming up, I went online to research which phone I was going to buy. For me, I did not care about colour or storage size which meant my options were open. With this I decided to go online to Twitter and 9to5Mac for some answers.

The main thing I was looking for were polls. Any and all polls asking the public which phone they were looking to buy. Literally every poll had the same, most popular answer, Space Grey 256GB. The second and third most popular choices seemed to change a lot, but it was also between to phones being the Space Grey 64GB and the 256GB Silver. This was great, this meant I knew exactly which phone to order come pre-order day, the 64GB Silver.

As 6 o’clock started looming, it was time to open and close the Apple Store App until something happened. It wasn’t until 6:05pm that the store loaded. I went straight to the account tab in the app to see ‘my favourites’ which I had pre-selected to be the iPhone X. I added it to my bag along side Apple Care+ and jumped straight to the check out. I opted for in-store pick up because honestly, what’s better than picking up your fresh phone from the store itself? I clicked confirm and BAM. The iPhone was ordered. Within 53 seconds I had ordered my iPhone ready for Day 1 pickup.

This was my first official pre-order through Apple and because of careful planning, I was able to achieve was looked to be impossible. I’ll have another update come the day before grabbing the phone, but until then, I’ll just keep watching videos online about this thing of beauty!

Top 5 Reasons I’m Looking Forward for WWE 2K18

The days are numbered until the release of WWE 2K18, with those who pre-ordered any of the special editions to be able to play it this week. For me, I love the WWE games and one day want to work on them, but until that ever happens, I’m always down to play them. WWE 2K18 is no different and these are the top 5 reasons I’m looking forward to playing WWE 2K18.

1. Graphics

A new lighting engine and more life-like models together combine some of the best graphics seen in a WWE game ever. While not perfect, it’s a huge improvement from previous years a I can’t wait to see how this looks on my 4K TV while playing.

My News for 17th July: New Doctor, Star Wars Land Details & Kingdom Hearts 3!

Welcome to ‘My News’. This will be a not-so-daily, daily news article where I share the top 3 pop culture news articles of the day.

1. We Have a New Doctor!

Lucky Doctor 13 has been revealed throwing all Whovians into a meltdown! For the first time in the history of Doctor Who, there is a female doctor. Stirring things up will be Jodie Whittaker who will be the 13th doctor in the new season of Doctor Who.

The news obviously shocked a lot of people with a lot of negative feedback through Social Media shared. Personally, as someone who doesn’t watch Doctor Who, the idea sounds fresh. It’s something that I think needed to happen eventually. Somewhat like an Female Australian Prime Minister, lets just hope it goes better than the Julia Gillard reign…

Trophy Tuesday #1 – Crash Bandicoot (Game 1 of N.Sane Trilogy)

Welcome to the first ever Trophy Tuesday, on a Friday! This is a new weekly series where I choose a specific game, play that for a few weeks and update you on the road to the PS Platinum Trophy!

This first week is firstly introducing the series, talking about the game and starting this series off with a bang! The first game in this series is non-other than the remastered classic Crash Bandicoot, part of the Crash N.sane Trilogy. The list of trophies is below and I’ll be updating them every week of which trophies I’ve unlocked. Once I 100% complete the game, I’ll post an article just about that, before starting a new game the following Trophy Tuesday.
